How to Play?
You’ll control both Fireboy and Watergirl, each with unique abilities. Fireboy can withstand heat but can’t touch water, while Watergirl can survive in water but can’t endure heat. The puzzles are designed to require both characters to work together – no one can clear a level without the other’s help! Be careful, as a green goo can harm both characters, and if one dies, the game is over.
Gameplay
Take a look at Level 1 of the game (image above). Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you understand the game mechanics:
- Approach the yellow lever while keeping both players safe.
- Pressing the yellow lever will lower the yellow platform, allowing both characters to ascend.
- Stepping on the pink button will lower the pink platform, which rises when the character moves away. This mechanism enables both characters to reach the box.
- Either character can push the box, allowing Fireboy and Watergirl to reach their respective exit doors and clear the level.
As you complete levels, new ones will unlock, offering 32 challenging levels in total.
Levels and Goals
Each level is a complex puzzle filled with elevators, levers, switches, buttons, trap doors, and more. Your goal is to guide Fireboy through the red door and Watergirl through the blue door. Both characters must reach their respective doors to complete the level successfully.
Diamonds and Challenges
If you complete a level without collecting all diamonds or finishing within the time limit, it will be marked with an orange diamond. If you collect all diamonds or finish on time but miss one of the specified challenges, it will be indicated by a blue diamond.
